We are extremely thankful to the Verizon Foundation for allowing us to create this mobile resource for families receiving Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). We are thankful to all of those have shown us how to love others and how to bring about showing that love toward our children and the important people in our lives. We are eternally thankful to Eduardo Menjivar who helped bring this mobile resource alive through countless hours of videoing and editing segments for this mobile resource. A huge thank you to Gretchen Schroeder aka our closer, who truly came in and helped us finish all of the video editing and graphic design for Pocket PCIT. We are beyond thankful for all of the PCIT families that have allowed our team to work with them and their children. We are especially grateful to those families that were willing to share their story to potentially help others out there in need. These parents have taught us so much about how they learn best and we hope this resource is helpful to families who decide to embark on the PCIT journey. We would not have been able to provide PCIT services to families without strong support from The Children’s Trust. For all of the University of Miami PCIT staff’s families, we especially are grateful to you for loaning out your child and adult actors so that we could show off PCIT in a whole new way.
Finally, PCIT would not even exist without the brilliance of Dr. Sheila Eyberg and her creation, evaluation, and dissemination of this unique treatment model. We are hopeful that this resource, which was partially adapted from the Dr. Eyberg’s PCIT protocol, will be another tool for helping families.
